Cecil L. Jones, 80, of Hernando, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, July 01, 2018 in Southaven, Mississippi. He was born on August 30, 1937 in Arkabutla, Mississippi to the late Frank Jones and Dolly McPeak Jones.
Mr. Jones is survived by his two sons, Tommy Jones (Sandy) of Hernando, MS and Timmy Jones (Kim) of Hernando, MS; two sisters, Wilma “Sweetie” Cole (Cecil) of Sarah, MS and Jo Barbee (Jimmie) of Batesville, MS; seven grandchildren, Josiah Jones (Jessica), Luke Jones (Lindsey), Nina Jones, Susannah Jones, Krystal Griffin (Barak), Ashley Jones, and Trever Jones; five great grandchildren, Kaydi Blanchard, Rylee Blanchard, Dylan Blanchard, Olivia Jones, and Elinor Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of forty-nine years, Marie Savely Jones and his parents.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 03, 2018 at Colonial Hills Baptist Church (7701 Hwy 51 N, Southaven, MS 38671) from 12:00-2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow directly after visitation at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Colonial Hills Baptist Church Hernando Building Fund (7701 Hwy 51; Southaven, MS 38671.)
