Celia “Granny” Spence,
94, housewife, was born August 10, 1922 in Linden, TN and passed away January 3, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – DeSoto in Southaven, MS. Mrs. Spence was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Memphis, TN. She is survived by one son, Terry Spence and his wife, Clarann; two daughters, Carolyn Spencer and Rebecca Harr; one sister, Mary Helen Houston; six grandchildren, Charlotte Stepp, Sherry Hudson, Teresa Munsey and her husband, David, Lisa Courts and her husband, Greg, Kathy Smith and her husband, Chris, and Steve Rhoades and his wife, Jenny; 14 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, OD Spence, Jr. Visitation will be Monday, January 9 from
11 a.m.
until the service begins at
12 p.m.
at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven. Burial will follow in Forest Hill South Cemetery in Memphis.
