Charles “Charley” Michael Anglebrandt May 2, 1952 - February 23, 2023

Charles “Charley” Michael Anglebrandt, 70, of Southaven, MS, passed peacefully surrounded by his children February 23, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto.

Born May 2, 1952 in Port Huron, MI, a son of Lefty and Bertie Anglebrandt, Charley met with loss and struggled from a young age, but he overcame and lived his life for his family.  Most of his career was spent as a roofer before transferring to the sanitation industry before moving to Mississippi to be closer to his children and grandchildren.  He had a great love for music, books, and soaking up the sun, but his true passion was being a Papaw.

He is survived by his children, Jerry Stein (Nicole) of Michigan, Jennifer Tribble (Billy) and Elizabeth Spears (Eddie), both of Arkansas, and Steve Anglebrandt of Mississippi; mothers of his children Rhonda Cherry of Arkansas and Becky Stein of Michigan; sisters Lori Mann (Robert), Jeri Derteen (Bruce), Marty Krictzs (Gary), Virginia Pressler (Rex), Angelia Wilczynski, all of Michigan, Judy Chiappelli and Tammy Tribble (Randy), both of Arkansas; brothers Alan Anglebrandt (Wendy) of Michigan, Lloyd Gray (Linda) of Arkansas, Jim Gray (MaryAnn) of Georgia; grandchildren Tori Watkins (Patrick), Kristopher Spears, Karisa Turner, Keriona Turner, Carlie Nalawagen, all of Mississippi, Megan Salgado and Savanna Salgado, both of Michigan; great-grandson Matteo “Mater” Valencia-Barbosa; many nieces, nephews, and great friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertie E. (Lucas) Anglebrandt, father Carleton “Lefty” H.  Anglebrandt, stepmother Mary I.  Anglebrandt, father and mother-in-law John and Pearl Gray, a son, Kedrick E.  Perkins, brothers Terry J.  Herring, Randy Gray, Donald Gray, sister Deborah L.  Patterson, and niece Chelsea Wilczynski.
