Darnell Feathers

Mr. Darnell Feathers, 78, of Horn Lake, MS, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital, located in Memphis, TN. With musicians and ballplayers in the family, Darnell became the drag racer of the family. The last year he was running a 64 Chevrolet 2 and went undefeated. He was a truck driver until retirement. Mr. Darnell’s legacy will continue to live on through his family and friends.

Mr. Darnell leaves behind his son, Michael Jordan of Horn Lake; brother, Herbert Wade Feathers of Olive Branch; grandchildren, Michael Jordan Jr., Lindsey Jordan, and Amanda Glover; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Gabe, Kaylee, Emily, Jace, Christopher, and Langston.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Linda Feathers; parents, Leonard and Lucy Virginia Feathers; sister, Dora Pinkham; brother, Shorty Feathers, V.A. Feathers, Charlie Feathers, and Lawrence Feathers.

Mr. Darnell’s funeral service is set for 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, following a visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M.. A burial to follow in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to The American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829 Arlington, VA 22215.
