David Lee Rushing, 48, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019 in Southaven, Mississippi. Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Gracewood Baptist Church (8551 Getwell Rd, Southaven, MS 38672) with a service immediately following. Interment will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens (290 Goodman Road East Southaven, MS 38671). Twin Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
David was born on July 8, 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee but has resided in Southaven, MS for half of his life. Some of his past times were golfing, watching and playing sports, and fishing. David was a huge fan of cars. He was a lead in the Bindery at CCL label. Most of all David loved his family. Skiing, tubing and camping was the families favorite past time for many years. Being with his wife for 28 years married 25 of those 28 years. and creating a family was his biggest accomplishment. David was a loving caring and generous man. He will truly be missed by those closest to him.
David is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Michelle Rushing; children, Nicholas Rushing, and Brittany Rushing; grandchild, Easton Rushing; brothers, Landon (Kaelyn) Rushing and Chris Wilfong; and a host of nieces and nephews.
David is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara (Gene Wilfong) Rawles; father, Robert Carl Rushing; and sister, Shannon Jones.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Ronald McDonald House Charities (rmhc.org).
