Dawn Elizabeth Amaro passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021. She was preceded in death by her mother Francis Jo Dunn, her father James L. Thomas, her Aunt Brenda McBroom, and her biological father Reggie Hinton. She is survived by her children, Allen Stallings(Kimberly), Katie Box (Josh), and Kelsi Stallings (Adam Ridinger), as well as her grandchildren Madison, Karlie, and Rorie Claire. Dawn is also survived by her stepmother Sarah Thomas, her sisters Kindyl Zantop (David) and Tiffany Michelle Thomas Ortega (Rene), and her nieces and nephews, Kaela, Jake, Taylor, Christina, Addie, Gabrielle, and Daniel, and innumerable cousins, aunts, and uncles. Dawn Amaro was loved by all who knew her. In lieu of sending flowers, please join the family to celebrate the life of Dawn Amaro at La Siesta located at 64 West Commerce St.

May 26, 2021 at 12:20 pmI found out about this yesterday from her employer and was just floored to hear. I worked with Dawn for several years at Garnett West, Sr office. At a time in my life, which thankfully has been many years back Dawn opened her home to me which I was so grateful for. Her kids were still all very young at the time and she made a place for me. Her entire family are in my prayers.
