Dewey Amel Todd, 93, of Walls, Mississippi, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019, in Southaven, MS at Desoto Health Care. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Dewey loved fishing, hunting, and his dog Lady. He never felt being born with one hand was a handicap. He was a hard worker for Ford Motor Company. He was even #1 mechanic for many years, before opening his own garage/gas station. No matter what was broken, he could fix it. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge in Centerville, TN. He loved his family more than anything in the world, and will be truly missed.
Dewey A. Todd leaves behind his daughter, Sharon (Marvin) Johnson; granddaughters, Katrina Johnson and Tamara (Ronnie) Adams; and grandson, Jack Shoemaker.
Dewey A. Todd is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Margaret Todd; and his daughter, Sheila.

June 23, 2019 at 8:04 pmThe three of us would like to share our respect and condolences to the entire family with the loss of this very special person. Although I never met him in person, I felt love and closeness from afar. His family shared parts of his life with me, so I vicariously felt he was part of our own family. He was who we all called “Grandpa.” Our daughter loved hearing stories about his experiences. His loss reminds me of time I regret wasting by thinking there is always another day to visit. Now there will never be another day to visit Grandpa.
