Mrs. Donna Jean DeVoe, 65, of Horn Lake, MS, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at her home in Horn Lake. She worked as a chair side technician in a dental office for twelve years. Mrs. DeVoe was also a member of First Baptist Church in Horn Lake, where she attended church with her husband for ten plus years. When she wasn’t at home quilting, she was at church fellow shipping with friends and church family. People were naturally drawn to Mrs. DeVoe’s personality and charisma. She loved being around people, and never knew a stranger. She would always have a twinkle in her eye and was never known to talk harshly of anyone. She absolutely loved the winter season and loved the snow, having lived in Massachusetts previously. Mrs. DeVoe will be greatly missed, but her memory will continue to live on through the memories she made with family and friends.
Mrs. DeVoe leaves behind her loving husband of forty years, Curtiss Dexter DeVoe of Horn Lake, MS; three sons, Christopher Hinson of Virginia Beach, VA, Christopher T. Darren DeVoe (Ann Barbara) of Hartman, AR, and Kevin Michael DeVoe of Horn Lake; five grandchildren, Hannah Mildred DeVoe of Hartman, Ethan Hinson and Kayla Hinson both of Virginia Beach, KC Taylor DeVoe (Hannah) and Hunter DeVoe both of Fort Payne, AL.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly DeVoe; parents, Donald Eugene and Imogene Letson Shelton; and brother Larry Wayne Shelton.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations and memorials in honor of Mrs. Donna Jean DeVoe, be made to the First Baptist Church in Horn Lake (3505 Goodman Rd, Horn Lake, MS 38637).
