Edna Staten Foster, 85, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 in Holly Springs, Mississippi. Family will be receiving friends on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East Southaven, MS 38671) immediately following a service. Internment will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Edna Staten Foster was born on March 15, 1934 in Mississippi. Some of her favorite past times were crocheting, and tending to her flowers and dog. She was always known for her cooking skills. She could make any meal to hit the spot. Most of all Edna was a family woman. She loved being able to spend time with her family and friends. Edna will truly be missed by her closest friends and family.
Edna is survived by her children, Harry (Betty) Staten, Hugh (Sharon) Staten, Connie Barker, Bonnie (Billy) Looney, and Margaret (Chuck) Wooley; grandchildren, Monica, Melinda, Bobbie, Hugh Jr., Patrick, Matthew, Mackenzie, and Wes; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Aliyah, Caitlyn, Cody, Chase, Cassie, Alivia, Lorelei, Emma, Karis, Bree, Conner, Graciebella, Cannon, and Carson; and sisters, Cathleen and Elizabeth.
Edna is preceded in death by her first husband of 50 years, Cleatus Staten; former husband, Bob Foster; parents, Hubert Vaine and Viola Hall; sister, Alene; and brother, Howard Hall.
