Gene Howard Howlett, age 85, passed away August 10, 2022, in Memphis, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 12:00pm, followed by a Funeral Service in his honor at 1:00pm with a Graveside service immediately following. All services will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 290 Goodman Road E., Southaven, Mississippi, 38671.

Mr. Howlett was born in Charleston, Missouri on July 29, 1937, to John Howard Howlett and Grace Lee Howlett. He was very passionate about painting and his work. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, dancing, and yardwork. He loved his cats but above all things he loved being a father.

Gene leaves behind his children Jean Ann Nichopoulos (Dean George Nichopoulos), Terri Parker, & Timmy McIntyre,  5 Grandchildren; Jeremy, Amber, Whitney (Ashley), Jessica, & Emily, 6 Great-Grandchildren; Kaeden, Emery Lane, McKinley, Shayla, Jamison, Isiah, and his Special friend; Dewayne Harrison.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 35 years, Janice Howlett, parents; John Howard Howlett and Grace Lee Howlett, Daughter; Carla McNeely, Granddaughter; Patricia O’Quinn, 3 Sisters; Byrd Lee, Dorothy, and Patricia.
