Joe Lloyd Prentiss

Joe L. Prentiss, age 87, of Southaven, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Baptist DeSoto Hospital. He was born on June 9, 1934 to the late Lazell and Laverta (Kittrell) Prentiss.
Joe was a Logistics Specialist with the Civil Defense Unit. He enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, fishing, and any sports activity that involved his grandchildren. He would not only attend every game, but virtually every practice as well.
In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his wife of many years, Marie (Wakefield) Prentiss in 2003, and his sister, Virginia McDonald.
Joe will be remembered by his son, Joe W. Prentiss (Roni), daughter Regina Hall (Tommy), grandchildren Megan Prentiss, Tosha Mote (Josh), Jessica Navarro (Jake), Chelsea Prentiss (Alicia), and Taylor Baker, and his great-grandchildren, Ally, Mason, Trent, Marley, Camden, Lucas, and Maya.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Twin Oaks Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the Memphis VA Medical Center, 1030 Jefferson Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104, or to the National Rifle Association of America, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030.
