Joe “Shorty” Haile Davis, III, 20, of Senatobia, MS, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018, in Memphis, TN. A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2018 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East, Southaven, MS). A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 2 p.m., also at Twin Oaks. Interment will follow immediately after services at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Joe “Shorty” Davis, III was born in Memphis, TN on July 30, 1998. Everyone that knew him knew he was a huge football fan, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Shorty was also easily entertained by wrestling. One of Shorty’s favorite past times were playing on his Xbox. Another thing people knew him for, is that he always wanted to become a Nascar driver. Shorty loved his family above anything and will be truly missed.
Shorty leaves behind his mother, Anita F. Simpson; father, Joe Haile Davis, Jr.; step-father, John Simpson; brothers, Christopher Ruiz, John J. Davis, Michael Davis, Brandon Simpson, Casey Simpson, Charles Simpson, Colton Simpson, and John Simpson; sister, Brittiany Fiore; and grandparents, Ernest Simpson, Gloria Simpson, and Janette Davis.
Shorty is preceded in death by his step-sister, Serria Simpson.
