Joyce Marie Crick, age 77, passed away June 7, 2022, in Southaven, Mississippi. She was born to Nildo Glisson and Loney French Glisson in Dyer, Tennessee on January 5, 1945. The family will be holding a private service on a later date.
Ms Crick was a talented and highly regarded cake decorator in the Mid-South area. Her replica of Elvis Presley & Pricilla’s wedding cake was a feature display in the Graceland mansion in Memphis, TN. Her creative talents were also requested for Grand Openings such as Splash, Lady Luck and Harrah’s Casino’s including others that soon followed in Tunica, MS. She also enjoyed sewing, crafts, playing Bingo and spending time with her family. Joyce sacrificed whatever was needed to provide for her family.
Joyce leaves behind her three children, Donald (Anita) Crick, Sherry (Murray) Vaughn, Kevin Crick; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Shirley King.
Those preceded in death include her four siblings, June, Betty, Bill, and Allen; parents, Nildo and Loney Glisson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to organizations for finding a cure, providing support and the research of Dementia patients and their families. https://www.dementiasociety.org/
