Larry Dale Davis, 78, passed away on September 15, 2021 in Southaven, Mississippi. Family will be receiving friends on Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 3:00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East Southaven, MS 38671). Interment will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Larry was born on July 20, 1943, in Huntington, West Virginia. He loved his family more than anything in the world. Larry was the best husband, Daddy, Papa and son-in-law anyone could have ever asked for. He was the primary caregiver for his mother-in-law for over 11 years. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him liked him. He never met a stranger. He will truly be missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Sherri T. Davis; children, Kymberleigh Davis Riley (Bryan), Kiel Thomas Davis (Krissy) and Larry Dale Davis, II; grandchildren, Noelle Grace Riley, Perry Davis Riley, Evelynn Leigh Riley, Paisley Rose Davis, Coltyn Rhett Davis, Ella Kate Davis, and two grandsons on the way. He also leaves behind his companion dogs, Peanut, Marley and Raskuhl.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edward and Ethel Davis; siblings, Dora Jean Napier, Geraldine Rodefer, Thomas Edward Davis, Jr., Gladys Hager and Roger P. Davis. He was also preceded in death by his favorite dog, Foxy Lady.
In lieu of traditional flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (act.alz.org/donate).
