Leonard Ray Johnson Sr., age 64, of Arkabutla, MS, passed away on August 15th, 2021.
Leonard was born on December 1st, 1956 to Leonard and Faler Johnson in Alexandria, LA.
In December of 1974, he met Kathy Johnson, and they wed in 1975, going on to have 3 children, Tabatha Nicole Johnson DeStefanis, Bubba Johnson, and Will Johnson. As well as their 9 grandchildren, Seth McCan, Chloe and Ethan Dickson, and Emily and Vivian Johnson, and Emmi and Allysa Rogers, Lexi Teague and Ean Swinler.
Leonard spent his time hunting, using his talent of carpentry and taxidermy to give gifts for his family. He enjoyed watching football, specifically the New Orleans Saints and he also enjoyed fishing and all things outdoors. He was head-strong, confident, and out-spoken. Family meant everything to him and more.
Leonard was predeceased by his mother and father, Faler and Leonard Johnson as well as his older brother, Rodney Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, 3 children, 9 grandchildren and two sisters, Debbie Albin and Judy Littleton.
Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 2: 00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East Southaven, MS 38671). Interment will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
