Linda Gayle Shreeve

February 13, 1952 — February 5, 2020

Linda Gayle Shreeve, 67, went home on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. Family will be receiving friends Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East, Southaven, MS), with a service immediately following.

Linda was born on February 13, 1952 in Memphis, Tennessee. She is deeply loved by her family and friends who know her by her many names such as Pretty Mammaw, Aunt Rocky, and Honey Bear. Her care for all those around her also resulted in many who considers her their “adopted” Mammaw, Aunt Linda and even their “second Mom”. She loved having her hands in the dirt whether it was playing with her grandchildren or caring for her garden and plants. Second only to her nurturing love for others, she will certainly be remembered for her sense of humor that brought so much joy to everyone around her. She will be greatly missed for the unconditional love she gave, the smile that lit up a room, and the hugs that gave comfort and strength.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, David W. Shreeve; children, Kenneth (Tina) Shreeve and Emily (Carl) Cottam; grandchildren, Andrew (Hayley) Shreeve, Jack Shreeve, and Sarah Shreeve, Ella Cottam, Evan Cottam, and Benjamin Cottam; great-grandson, Noah Shreeve; siblings, Kathy (David) Minor, Albert (Shirley) Peek; sister-in- law, Patricia Peek; two “sister-cousins”, Shirley Connell, and JoEllen Williams; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ada Peek; sisters, Monnie Forsythe and Peggy Sue Peek; and brother, Ben Peek.
