Marlyn Speck was born on September 27, 1946 in New Albany, MS. One of Marlyn’s favorite things were humming birds, she thought they were so beautiful and would loved to just gaze at them. Most will remember her as the best mother and grandmother that has ever existed. She was the greatest grandmother, to many, any child could ask for. She will be greatly missed for the unconditional love she gave, the smile that lit up a room, and the hugs that gave comfort and strength.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Laney and Hazel Roberts; and grandson, James Speck.

Mr. Bobby, Melissa, Jerry, Nikki, Joey, Corey, and JamJam
There are really no words to express my sorrow for you all. She was one of the sweetest souls I’ve ever known. In my 30 plus years of knowing her I don’t remember ever hearing an unkind word come from her. I do know that her grandkids were her pride and joy and she loved all of you without limits. Even though we grieve her loss, heaven is rejoicing. I’ve been where you all are and I know it’s hard, but hold tight to your faith, cherish the memories and take it one day at a time and you’ll be ok.. Remember I love y’all and am praying for each one of you.
    Much love to all,
    Georgia and James Hadley
