Martha Jean Tyner, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 2, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 8 at Singleton United Methodist Church Cemetery (2801 Singleton Road Carthage, MS 39051).
Martha was born on November 17, 1942 in Attala County, MS. “Meme” was known for her love of cooking and spending time with her family and her beloved cat, Kissy. She is survived by her sister Mary Meadows; daughter Vicky Arbuckle of Shreveport, LA; son John and his wife Andrea Tyner of Nesbit, MS; grandchildren Laura Nyiri and Remy Lord of Cambridge, OH, Brooke and her husband Ulas Ograk of Monroe, LA, Reed Tyner of Southaven, MS, Dalton Bowlan and Allie Tyner both of Nesbit, MS, and great granddaughter, Brinley Lord.
She is preceded in death by her husband Johnny of 34 years, parents Leon and Laura Jones, brothers Mabry and Edward Jones, and sister Clara Sims. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude.A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 starting at 11:30 a.m. at Singleton United Methodist Church Cemetery (2801 Singleton Road Carthage, MS 39501).
