Marvin Edward Bugg December 27, 1943 - February 20, 2018

Mr. Marvin Edward Bugg, 74, of Horn Lake, MS, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at his residence in Horn Lake. Mr. Bugg’s was a mechanic most of his adult life.His career wasn’t simply a job for him, it was a passion. Mr. Bugg had always loved being a mechanic and even after he retired, he never truly quit working on other’s vehicles and equipment. According to his family and friends, he could fix almost anything. He was a very selfless person and was always willing to lend a helping hand, anytime or anywhere. Mr. Bugg had a humous personality and was known as a “cut up”. He was constantly joking around and telling jokes to make others laugh, even though some of his jokes you couldn’t repeat. Mr. Bugg’s memory will continue to be cherished by his family and friends whom he shared his life with.

Mr. Bugg leaves behind his loving wife of forty-five years, Patsy B. Bugg of Horn Lake, MS; one son, Carl Edward Bugg (Donna) of Phoenix, AZ; one daughter, Kimberly Bugg Reynolds of Alanson, MI; two sister-in-laws, Joanna Hansbrough (Jim) of Senatobia, MS, and Evelyn Briscoe of Southaven, MS; one grandson, Danny Reynolds of Petoskey, MI; two granddaughters, Alura Bugg of Phoenix, and Vanessa Tanner of Lexington, TN; close family friends, Edward Flynn (Catherine) of Horn Lake, Charlie Flynn (Sissy) of Hernando, MS, Wayne Scott (Betty) of Walls, MS, and Scott Malone (Janet) of Lake Cormorant, MS. Mr. Bugg also leaves behind a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Virginia Bugg; and son-in-law, Lynn Reynolds.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations and memorials in honor of Mr. Marvin Edward Bugg, be made to Horn Lake United Methodist Church (6890 Center St E, Horn Lake, MS 38637).

Visitation will be held Monday, February 26, 2018, from 12:00 P.M.-1:00 P.M. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Rd E; Southaven, MS 38671), with the funeral service following at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel at Twin Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will be at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven.

    What a wonderful obituary that described exactly who Marvin was. He was a great mechanic and I also believed he could fix anything. He will be missed greatly. RIP, my friend.

    Marvin was such a good and helpful neighbor and looked out for the neighborhood as a whole. He will be greatly missed.
