Mary Elizabeth Tunnell
February 3, 1925 — March 12, 2019
Mary Elizabeth Tunnell, 94, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at her residence in Calhoun City, Mississippi. A visitation will be held Friday, March 15, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East, Southaven, MS 38671). A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. Bro. David Westmoreland will officiate. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms Tunnell was a faithful member of Carriage Hills Baptist Church for around 20 years. She enjoyed many past times. She loved to go out fishing, and playing bingo. When not fishing or out with friends, one could find Ms Tunnell spending time with her grandchildren. She loved her family more than anything in the world.
Ms Tunnell is survived by her two children, Quay Wolfe and William (Karen) Chambers; grandchildren, Bill Wolfe, William (Sherrie) Chambers, Jr., Chris (Angie) Chambers, Jeff Chambers, and Angel Chambers; great-grandchildren, Clint Wolfe, Hunter Chambers, Kevin Chambers, Jessica Chambers, Matt Chambers, and Haden and Drake Franklin.
Ms Tunnell was preceded in death by her first husband, Ben Chambers, Sr.; second husband, James A Tunnell; son, Ben Chambers, Jr.; parents, Dave and Alice Ross; 11 siblings; granddaughter, Pamela Q. Wolfe; and great-grandson, Will Gordan Wolfe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Carriage Hills Baptist Church (8352 Farmington Dr W, Southaven, MS 38671).
