Melvin L. Pilkington, 65, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East Southaven, MS 38671). Interment will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
He was born March 2, 1956 in Tennessee. Melvin was a professional car hauler of 20 years and a avid motorcycle enthusiast and rider. He loved the 2
nd
amendment, had a love for music, enjoyed grilling and smoking on the bbq grill. He loved being outdoors, but most importantly he loved his family.
Melvin was survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Katherine “Kathy” Pilkington; children, Brandon Pilkington, Chelsey (Jonathan) Ellenburg, Jessica “Taylor” Pilkington, and Kaitlyn Pilkington; grandson, Hunter Ellenburg; siblings, Samuel Pilkington, Jim Pilkington, Shirley Frost, Carol Potter, Ed Pilkington, Steve Pilkington.
He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel Monroe and Zelma Irene Pilkington.Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East Southaven, MS 38671).
