Michael Brent Alexander passed away at his home in Horn Lake, Mississippi, Monday, January 16, 2023, at age 41. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm with the funeral at 6:00 at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 290 Goodman Road East, Southaven, Mississippi 38671. Per his wishes, no burial will follow as he chose cremation.
Brent was born on May 6, 1981 to Billy and Ann Alexander in Memphis, Tennessee. Brent was employed at Elite Iron Works, LLC, working for his lifelong friend, Johnathan, JD, Glasco. He contributed to the building of the iconic Memphis Pyramid and the Big River Crossing Bridge.
Growing up he was involved in Boy Scouts, Little League baseball, soccer, and bowling teams. His brother reminisces of his love of drawing. When he was young, he would always say he was going to be a scientist and an inventor and loved computers, go-carts, and swimming at the Jaycee pool. He followed his dad in his love for the Miami Dolphins football team. In later years, he loved to play frisbee golf, shoot pool, fishing, river rafting, riding four wheelers, country music, and sitting around a bonfire chilling with family and friends.
Everyone in his neighborhood knew Brent from him always out working on his cars in his driveway. He was known for helping out so many people. He was definitely a “give you his shirt off his back” kind of guy. He has so many friends that have reached out that loved him.
Brent is preceded in death by his grandparents, Billy Joe Alexander, Sr., Mary Ann Davis Alexander, William Ned Wigley, Sr., and Mary Ernestine Hocutt Wigley.
In addition to his parents, Brent leaves his two brothers, Craig Alexander and Jonathan Alexander (Krystle), nephews Nicholas (MacKenzie) Alexander, and CJ Alexander, and niece Korbyn Alexander. But most important to him was his fiancee Jenny Simmons and her three children, Isabella “Bella” Dawn Simmons, Levi Jace Simmons, and Zander Blaze. Sadly, he will miss the birth of his youngest brother, Jonathan’s son scheduled to be born two days after Brent’s 42nd birthday.
