Michael Kent “Mike” Barrett,
66, retired superintendent for Murphy & Sons, was born February 5, 1951 in Forrest City, AR and passed away March 2, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – DeSoto in Southaven, MS. Mr. Barrett was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janice Barrett; daughter, Susan Hall and her husband, Andy; two brothers, Chris Lee and his wife, Tracy and Terry Barrett; three grandchildren, Morgan Cothern, Kent Hall, and Candi Hall; one great grandchild, Aimrie Holder; many beloved friends; and his loving pet, Scooter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Barrett, Sr. and Suzanne and Bill Lee; and one brother, Frank Barrett, Jr. A memorial service will be held
Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 6 p.m.
at Graceland Christian Church, 2126 Stateline Road, Southaven, MS. The family requests that any memorials be made to the food pantry at Colonial Hills Church in Southaven. .
