Southaven, MS –
NITA MOUNCE, 84, was born October 27, 1930 in Pontotoc, MS and passed away August 5, 2015 at DeSoto Healthcare Center in Southaven. Mrs. Mounce was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Southaven. She is survived by one son, Randy A. Mounce and his wife, Lola of Southaven; one daughter, Donna L. King of Union, MO; one brother, Billy Morton and his wife, Margaret of Ashland, MS; two sisters, Geneva Nix of Southaven and Brenda Young of Brandon, MS; four grandchildren, Heather Schatz and her husband, Darren, Daniel King and his wife, Rachael, Dustin Mounce, and Lana Mounce; and five great grandchildren, Autumn Schatz, Dylan Schatz, Adam King, Lilly King, and Abigail King. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Allen K. Mounce. Visitation will be Saturday, August 8 from 11 a.m. until the service begins at 1 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven. Burial will follow in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven. The family requests that any memorials be made to breast cancer research.
