Opaline Knight Rushing

Opaline Knight Rushing, 73, was born December 29, 1947 and was called home to the Lord May 23, 2021 with her family at her side. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 starting at 3:00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home (290 Goodman Road East Southaven, Mississippi 38671). Family will also be receiving friends at the reception taking place at Longview Heights Baptist Church in Olive Branch immediately following the graveside.

She is survived by her sister, Pauline Jones; brothers, Ray (Louise) Knight and Freddie Knight; two sons, Bruce (Sheila) Rushing, and Billy (Krystal) Rushing; three grandchildren, Bruce (Haley) Rushing, Cody (Taylor) Rushing, and Lilly-Beth Rushing; two great grandchildren, Hazel Rushing and Emelynn Rushing; and a beloved Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Opaline retired from the IRS after 26 years of service. She was devoted to all of her family and friends. She was a dedicated caretaker to many in need, and the rock everyone could always count on to pull any pieces back together.
