Patsy Ann Wilson Baker

November 3, 1933 – January 30, 2023

Ms.  Pat graduated from Mississippi State floral design school, where she became a professional floral designer.  She then went to Methodist School of Phlebotomy and worked as a phlebotomist until she retired.  She married Homer Baker at Trinity Baptist Church in Southaven, MS where they were both members and active in the church until Homer died in 2005.

Ms.  Pat’s mother, Cora, worked at the hospital where Mrs.  Presley worked and the Presley family had fallen on hard times, and Mrs.  Presley didn’t have money for a bus and no transportation.  Cora didn’t drive, so Patsy and her sister, Martha Jo, drove them to work and picked them up.  Ms.  Pat raised Karen and Aunt Martha on Elvis Presley and she learned to be charitable from her mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Baker, in October 2005, mother, Cora Grace Berry Wilson, father Walker Albert Wilson (known as Cornbread), sister Martha Jo Crawford Norman, twin brothers, William Berry Wilson and James Walker Wilson.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Karen Renee Anderson Salt (Alan) of Hernando, grandchildren James Walker Henson “Cricket” Anderson and Rachel Kristene Anderson (Richard) Price, both of Southaven, MS, great-grandchildren Frances Renee and Ava Malone Price, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and her loving caregivers, Queen and John Love and Ms.  Emma.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Twin Oaks Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and again on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm.  Burial will follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens.
