Hernando, MS –
ROBERT “DOBEY” PARR, 61, machinist, was born September 16, 1954 in Wyatt, MO and passed away January 16, 2016 in Sikeston, MO. Mr. Parr was Methodist. He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Daffron and her husband, Rocky and Peggy Moore; his father, Charles “Buddy” Parr; one sister, Grace Parr; four grandchildren, David Moore and his wife, Jeri, Makesha Rainey and her husband, Ron, Kristen Kinard, and Joshua Daffron; seven great grandchildren, David Lee Moore, Matt Shad, Daniel Kinard, Corriena Kinard, Haley Rainey, Evanjelynn Williams, and McKenna Rainey; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettye “Pearl” Parr; his mother, Betty Parr; and two brothers, Charlie Parr and Kevin Parr. Visitation will be Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. until the service begins at 1 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven, MS. Burial will follow in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven. The family requests that any memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

June 10, 2017 at 5:28 pmIt has been many years since I had seen Mike and for that I’m sorry. I would see Charlie Parr on occasion when he would pass through wherever I was living at the time & he would give me updates. I understand Mike was happy w/his life. Also he was very close, cared for/by his family, friends, and his co-workers in MS. It is of some comfort to me though that he was close to what I picture his home. I would also like to recognize and thank his family in MS and express my gratitude in how important they obviously were in making his life full & happy.
It is so hard to believe Kevin, Charlie, and now Mike are gone. You are & will all, always be missed very much. Your giant, happy, fun, glowing personalities and always entertaining sense of humor’s will be with me and all that knew you always.
