Robert Glen Betterton, 76, of Horn Lake, Mississippi, passed away on December 22, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital- Desoto. He was born on July 03, 1941 in Calhoun City, Mississippi to Aubrey and Lena Betterton. Robert was well known at the Waffle House on Stateline Road. He ate there everyday for thirty-five years. If you ever go to the Waffle House on Stateline Road, be sure to ask for the “Glen” Burger that was named after him. He is survived by his wife, Ann Betterton; two sons, Don Betterton and J.J. Swinford; five daughters, Dolores Betterton, Linda Jackson, Debbie Tillery, Darla Holland, and Elizabeth Harris; two brothers, Douglas Betterton and Bill Betterton; 20 grandchildren with one on the way; 11 great- grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Robert Betterton; and 3 sisters, Barbara Pounders, Betty Sue Betterton, and Dale Smith. A memorial service for Mr. Robert is scheduled for January 06, 2018 from 12:00-3:00 P.M. at their residence at 5771 Gray Cove, Horn Lake, MS.
