Robert “Bob” John Bates, 78, of Olive Branch, Mississippi, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019, in Southaven, MS. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Robert enjoyed many things in life. Some of Mr. Bates favorite past times were fishing, reading, and going to the casinos. He loved playing bingo as well. When not enjoying life through activities one could have found Robert with his children. He loved his children more than anything in this world and would have done anything for them. He cherished all the memories made with close friends and family and will be truly missed.
Robert J. Bates leaves behind his son, Robert (Michelle) John Bates, Jr.; daughter, Debra Ann Merrill; grandchildren, Brittany (William) Shivers and Brandon Bates; great- grandchildren, Nicholas and Noah; and brother, John (Therese) Deptula.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made out to St. Jude (stjude.org).
