Rosell “Rose” E. Payton

Mrs. Rosell “Rose” E. Payton, 71, of Batesville, MS, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi, located in Oxford, MS. Mrs. Payton was a manager for a convenience store most of her adult life. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting, and shopping. Mrs. Payton’s legacy will continue to live on through the many memories she made with her friends and family.

Mrs. Payton leaves behind two daughters, Angela White Landis of Batesville, MS and Deanna Michelle Tucker of Elaine, AR; one step-son, James “J.D.” Payton of Horn Lake, MS; one sister, Edith “Edie” Sciuto of Granby, CO; one half-sister, Connie Evens of Olive Branch, MS; four grandchildren, Robin Landis of Batesville, Elizabeth Fazio of Bradly, IL, Nathaniel “Nathan” Tucker of Memphis, TN, and Elaina Tucker of Coldwater, MS; four great grandchildren, Dalton Bailey of Batesville, Angelo Benegas, Leo Benegas, and Jayden Schrempf all of Bradly.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy Payton; parents, William and Elaine Edwards; and step-father, Robert Sain.
