RUTH HUMES,

80, was born January 7, 1936 in Alexandria, LA and passed away October 9, 2016 at North Delta Hospice House inSouthaven, MS.  Mrs. Humes was a retired registered nurse and a Baptist.  She is survived by one daughter, Debra Humes Saxman of Coldwater; four sons, David Humes of Southaven, Alan Humes and his wife, Nancy of Coldwater, Pete Humes and his wife, Sharon of Fredricksburg, VA, and Robert Humes and his wife, Rachel of Munford, TN; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one niece, Kimberly Tipton.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Doyal and Vada Lee Maddox Jarred; one sister, Jean Mollica; and one daughter-in-law, Debra Humes.  Visitation will be Thursday, October 13th from 12:30 p.m. until services begin at 2:00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven.  Burial will follow in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven.
