Sandra Lynn (Miller) Coleman

May 29, 1964 — December 30, 2022

Sandra “Sandy” Lynn Coleman passed away suddenly on December 30th, 2022 at Baptist East Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She was 58 years old.

Sandy was first and foremost a loving and caring mother to her twin boys Marshall and Cullen Coleman.

Due to her loving and caring heart, Sandy worked in the metro-Memphis area in the last 30+ years as a Medical Assistant notably to the former Anesthesia Services of Memphis under Abe Abuelouf and Louis Vescovo, and in the last 10 years under Dr. Chip Christian with the Southaven branch of OrthoSouth.

During her free time, Sandy was a lover of good times and friends and thoroughly enjoyed watching her favorite Hallmark Christmas movies and crime dramas or attending live music venues in the area, specifically, the summer concert series at the botanical gardens, Live at the Garden. She was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and Reba McEntire and always said, “Reba writes songs just for me!” As much as she enjoyed these things, she loved nothing more than the people who called her “Momma” or “Aunt Sandy”.

Preceded in death are her parents, Roy D. Miller and Gwendolyn Ruth Miller, maternal grandparents Walter Earl “Pappy” Pryor and Elizabeth Earline “Nanny” Pryor, brother Don Miller, sister-in-law Melissa “Missy” Miller to brother Michael, godfather Len Frayser, her aunt Elizabeth “Betty” Jones and best friend Mary Montgomery.

She is survived by her children Marshall and Cullen Coleman, brothers Michael Miller, his children, Cody Miller (Sarah), Nicole “Nikki” Miller and Jesse Miller (Daenara), and great-niece Rosebelle Miller and Glenn Miller and his son Jase “Sweetpea” Miller. Additionally she is survived by lifelong sister and best friend of 39 years, Sandy Sponer Sitton, paternal grandmother Margarite Waltrip, and Godmother Sandra Frayser and her children, Cherie Frayser Fisher, Christy Frayser Harrell, and Joe Frayser who were like additional siblings to her along with numerous cousins and aunts.

Visitation for Sandy’s memorial service will be on Friday, January 6th, 2023 at Twin Oaks Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Way, Memphis, TN 38105
