Sharon Shields,

74, was born July 31, 1942 in Oelwein, Iowa and quietly passed away June 13, 2017, after a long illness. Mrs. Shields, a loving wife and mother, was a homemaker.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her children, Eileen Parker and her husband, Jerry of Iowa, Michael Shields of Iowa, and Janeen Baltes and her husband, Bill of Southaven; one brother, Robert Olander and his wife, Verna of Florida; four grandchildren, Brandon Shields, Logan Baltes, Allyson Baltes, and Kailey Baltes; and one great grandchild, Patrick Shields.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Dwayne Lee Shields.  There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven.  The family requests that any memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
