77, was born November 12, 1939 in Tupelo, MS and passed away May 15, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – DeSoto. Mr. Stephens was a retired Army veteran. He received a Purple Heart due to wounds received in connection with military operations against a hostile force during the Vietnam War. Survivors include his children, Lisa Price (Tom) and David Stephens; sister, Avonelle Stephens Goolsby; grandchildren, Richard Parrish, Jr., Steven Parrish, Erica Stevens, Mandy McCracken, Kesha Dickson (Beau), Falisha Burk, Victor Price, Tammy Price, Cliff Price, Tonyia Simpson, and Willie “Tom” Price; and great grandchildren, Rebecca Cheyenne Vance, Richard Parrish III, Grayson Hobson, Eden Parrish, Billy Sanders, Jr., Alaina Stevens, Abby Kelly, Aleigha McCracken, Katlyn Burk, Keaton Dickson, Delton Todd, Nolan Dickson, Hunter Price, Colton Price, Kole Rogers, Taylor Williams, and Londyn Simpson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Morgan Stephens; children, Regina Carol Burk and David Kirt Burk; and grandchildren, Jake Lee Raines, Jacob Hunter Burk, and Carye Price.
