Sue Medlin

Sue Medlin,

63, of Horn Lake, MS, was born October 10, 1953 in Holly Springs, MS and passed away June 16, 2017 at her home. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  Sue was known as a living testimony to Christ and His love.  She was a devoted, loving, faithful, caring, selfless wife, mother, and grandmother.  She cherished her grandchildren and wanted to be with them as much as possible.  Any free time was invested into Ragan, Ethan and Sam. She valued time with her family and enjoyed taking family vacations together. Her home was always filled with love, joy and laughter.  As an admirer of God’s creation, Sue loved the outdoors.  From hummingbirds to the Rocky mountains, the Badlands to the Smokies, they made her feel closer to the Lord. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Russell Medlin; three children, Tommy Medlin, Michelle Ellis, and Ashley Von Boeckman; mother, Peggy Edwards; three brothers, Terry Edwards, Joey Edwards, and Steve Edwards; and three grandchildren, Ragan Medlin, Ethan Ellis, and Sam Ellis.  She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Edwards. Visitation will be Monday, June 19, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven. The service will be Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial following in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven.  The family requests that any memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
