at his mother’s home in Southaven, MS. He liked watching NASCAR and Jeff Gordon was his favorite. He enjoyed fishing and was known to take in any stray dog that came along. Tony loved all his dogs and they became his “kids.” He loved his family. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Smith of Como; one son, Tony Smith III of Waterford, MS; two daughters, Kimberly Gillis of Waterford and Margaret Marie Hankins and her husband, B.J. of Abbeville, MS; his mother, Louise Smith of Southaven; one brother, Mike Smith and his wife, Debbie of Southaven; one sister, Margaret McKenzie of Horn Lake, MS; 11 grandchildren; one aunt and uncle; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Smith; his father, Tony Eugene “Gene” Smith, Sr.; one niece, Toni Glover; and his grandmother, Arlion Nerren. Visitation will be

at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven. Burial will follow in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven. The family requests that any memorials be made to Spring Valley Hospice in Olive Branch, MS.
