Virginia Ann Vinson

Virginia Ann Vinson, age 94, of Southaven, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Holly Springs Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Holly Springs, MS. She was born in Galesburg, IL on August 2, 1927 to the late George and Mary (Gschwend) Norquist.
Virginia was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and had previously worked as an office manager. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, and was a people person – she liked to talk to people, and everyone that knew her knew that.
In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her husband of nine years, Kenneth Murk, her husband of 34 years, Robert Vinson, her son, David Murk, brothers Bob Norquist, Ed Norquist, and Bill Norquist, and sisters Helen Duncan and Betty Dredge.
Virginia will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Linda Garrigan (Dan), step-son Jim Vinson (Peggy), seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sister Marilyn Mellican, sisters-in-law Doreen Stanford and Fran Norquist, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Christ the King Catholic Church 785 Church Road West, Southaven, from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made to the Christ the King Catholic Church Building Fund.
