Walterene Stribling, 79, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020 in Southaven, Mississippi. Twin Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Walterene was born on October 14, 1940 in Bruce, MS. Her favorite color was purple. She attended Colonial Hills Church in Southaven, MS. She also worked for Dr. Robert Kaplan for many years and loved her job until retirement. Walterene loved her children and grandchildren, she always made it to every game any child had going on. Walterene knew a thing or two about sports. She would be quick to correct someone regarding sports. Most of all, Walterene loved her family more than anything and will be truly missed.
Walterene is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years on December 3rd, Roger Thomas Stribling; children, Keith (Kim) Stribling and Angie (Denny) Patterson; grandchildren, Jessica (Nick) Graves, Lance (Katie) Stribling, and Lacie (Ethan) Taylor; great-grandchildren, Andi Kate, Leland, Parker, Battle, Noble, and Kara Beth; brother, Larry Frank (Donna) Bennett; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Walterene is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Dollie Bennett; 3 sisters, Betty June Ivy, Jimmie Nell Boutot, and Sara Frances Thomson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in honor to Mrs. Walterene to Cancer Association (cancer.org).
