I’m so sorry for everyone’s loss. I put the following in my fb page when I heard. I think anyone that reads this should know how incredibly brave and selfless Wanda was. She is a hero in my eyes.
I had 2 best friends in high school. I received a text this morning from one to find out the other passed away this morning. Wanda Petty Elmore you will be missed. Many don’t know but I can’t swim. I was around 12 I believe and was at a birthday party. We were all in an in ground pool, I had no fear. I fell asleep on a float. And I fell off… in the deep end. A couple of kids tried to save me but I was panicked and they couldn’t. Wanda jumped in and saved me. Without her, well I wouldn’t have this wonderful life. My children and grandchildren wouldn’t be here. Wanda I thanked you then, and I thank you now. You definitely earned your spot in heaven. And you’ll always be in my heart. I love you, I’ll miss you.
